AI Story Coach: Our Story

Let every child's story be heard.

I am 43 years old.

Many people think AI founders are young tech geniuses. But my story is different.

In university, I studied computer programming. But I graduated in 2007. It was a very hard time. We had SARS, and the IT bubble had burst. There were no tech jobs.

So, I went into business and manufacturing. I worked hard there for 20 years. I left coding behind, but I never lost my love for tech.

Then, AI arrived. It gave me a chance to build something again. And the biggest inspiration came from my son.

A Father's Inspiration

My son is a very smart boy. He loves maths and reading. But he has ADHD.

Because of this, it is hard for him to communicate. He has so many beautiful ideas in his head. But he does not know how to share them.

As a father, I asked myself: What if a tool could help him? What if he could turn his ideas into pictures, and pictures into a real storybook? Could this help him talk to the world?

This question became AI Story Coach.

Why a "Story Coach"?

Every child has a story. Some can write well. Some can draw well. But many children, like those with SEN or ADHD, face big barriers. They have great imaginations, but no way to show them.

AI Story Coach is a helper. Without typing a single word, a child can:

  • Create characters
  • Build a story
  • Make pictures
  • Add their own voice

They can finally share their stories with others. Because stories are bridges to understand each other.

The "Exploding Beef Meatballs"

People ask me: "Will this really succeed?"

When they ask, I think of a famous Hong Kong movie, The God of Cookery. In the movie, there is a new product: the "Exploding Beef Meatballs".

The maker believed it would change the market. But reality was cruel. The price dropped from $30 to $25. Then to $10, then $5, and finally given away for free. Still, no one wanted it.

Many people would give up. But by accident, the meatballs were given to a group of patients who really needed them. It completely changed their lives.

The people who truly needed the product were always there. They just hadn't met yet.

What I Believe

Today, AI Story Coach is still small. We do not have the most money. We are not the biggest team.

But I believe in this: If a tool can help one SEN child feel confident... If it can help one child share their heart... Then it must exist.

Maybe today, we help one child. Tomorrow, ten. One day, a thousand or more.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: Let every child make their own story. No matter their language. No matter their learning level.

I am not a famous tech boss. I am just a father.

I saw my son's need, and I want to help kids like him. If one day, a child smiles and shares their story because of AI Story Coach... Then everything I have done is worth it.
